1999 Midterm Exam Information

Where/When

How

• Exam is closed book, closed notes.
  
• A 216 mm by 280 mm note page (both sides) is allowed. (Those who have trouble reading small print can get advance approval for additional sheets.)
  
• The use of other notes, references, or similar material is not allowed. This includes text, images, diagrams, formulae, and other information stored in calculators, electronic organizers, computers, etc, and material obtained via any type of communication link, including, but not limited to, wireless modem, IR port, or cell phone.

• Exam coveres material up to and including set 13, operating systems overview.

  Study recommendation: Practice solving problems. With practice, one can solve a problem in thirty minutes that would have taken three hours. Keep in mind that memorizing how a particular problem was solved is not the same as the experience gained in solving it.
